Elli's Photo Shoot

Kaitlyn took photos of Elli for a college photography project.  The theme for the project was "ripple effect".  Here are a couple of the photos she took!

Pirate Treasure Hunt!

We had a little pirate treasure hunt to look for an afternoon snack!

Elli wanted to make her own pirate eye patch with construction paper and used green paper to look like grass for the "X" that marks the spot!

We hid it a few times.

Here's a throwback to 1999 when Kaitlyn and Brady did a pirate treasure for an afternoon snack! :)  The "X" and pirate eye patches were made with black felt and scrap material.

Pride & Traditions Band Take 1st in Class!

The Pride Band took 1st in their class for Indoor Drumline, Indoor Color Guard, Field Auxiliary, and Field Show!  The Traditions Band also took 1st in Street Performance during the parade that morning.

 The Indoor Drumline show was so cool!  Their rock-themed show was titled "Mash Pit".  Brady is playing tenor drums (back, second from left) and is dressed up as Starchild from KISS.  Haha!

 

The Pride Band performed their field show, "The Curse of Beauty".

"Five Little Pumpkins" ~ Elli's Rendition! (Video!)

After the campfire and haunted hayride, Elli came up with her own rendition of "Five Little Pumpkins"!  :)

Elli was so excited about going to her aunt and uncle's farm again this year for a campfire and haunted hayride!  She was a little scared, but she knew it was all pretend (like Scooby-Doo!) and absolutely loved it!

 Strings of lights and lanterns decorated the outdoor Halloween party table!

Eagle Scout Rank!

Our church recognized Brady last month for his achievement of making it to Eagle Scout!!  We are so proud of him!!!

The church presented Brady with a gift.

A book about Eagle Scouts titled "Four Percent", which was signed by all the church members, and an Eagle Scout key ring!  "Once an Eagle, Always an Eagle".

There was also a cake reception!

We are so proud of our Eagle Scout!!

(Brady has earned 11 more merit badges that we are waiting to receive and then add to his sash!)

We are so thankful that Kaitlyn is home from Paris this semester.

First Pride Band Competition!

The Pride Band had their first competition of the season on Oct. 3rd.  The field show titled "The Curse of Beauty" is about the nightmares of Sleeping Beauty.  This show is so awesome and we're excited to see the rest of Brady's Senior marching band season (and Sleeping Beauty is Kaitlyn's favorite Disney princess!)
