New Crêpe Maker!

Kaitlyn loved the crêpes in Paris, so we thought it would be fun to have a crêpe maker at home!
Using the batter spreader to make the crêpe really thin.
Flipping the crêpe was tricky!
We made Nutella, peach, and cinnamon sugar crêpes (and they were gluten-free!)

Earlier this month, we celebrated Kaitlyn coming home after her semester of studying abroad in Paris!!
 "Welcome Home Kaitlyn!"
We had a Welcome Home brunch!  We had heart-shaped eggs, sausage, cinnamon donut holes, gluten-free coffee cake and blueberry muffins, strawberries and other fresh fruits, peach and apricot juice, raspberry peach smoothies, and hot and iced coffee.

So glad to have Kaitlyn back home! <3

Together in Paris ~ Day 1

March 15, 2015 ~
Kaitlyn is a French Major and studied abroad last semester in Paris!  We were super excited to be able to go during our Spring break week in March to see her!!!  This mama doesn't like to fly, but will fly across oceans for her babies.  ;)
Elli could hardly wait!  She was so cute rolling Kaitlyn's little princess suitcase.
Flying above the clouds!
Kaitlyn wanted us to send her a family selfie when we were at the airport for our connecting flight.  I texted her, "We are coming to YOU!!!!"
 Here we go!
 "Welcome to Paris"
Hotel rooms in Paris are very small and we would have been required to get two rooms, but our travel agent found the Citadines d'Italie Paris apart-hotel!  It was right across the street from a Metro stop and near to the Sorbonne University where Kaitlyn was taking classes, so it was easy for her to meet us!
Our beautiful Kaitlyn was waiting for us when we arrived at the hotel!
Our view from our hotel window!
We had dinner across the street from our hotel at Café O'Jules.  It was pretty chilly outside, so I was ready for something warm.  The hot chocolate in Paris is wonderful.  It is served with melted chocolate and a small pitcher of steamed milk.
 My three babies together again!
I had a ham and cheese omelet which was served with a side salad.
We shared a thick chocolate mousse, which is a popular dessert in Paris.  Elli also had chocolate ice cream.
We were tired after the long flight, so we headed back to our hotel.
A view from our hotel window of Café O'Jules right across the street.
The café stayed open very late.  The French tend to eat much later than we do in the U.S.!
Goodnight, Paris.  Adventures await tomorrow!
