The next morning in Branson started with some morning snuggling and talking with Grandma. <3
We made eggs, sausage, and pancakes for breakfast. Elli made this cute Santa pancake with whipped cream, strawberries, and chocolate chips!
My sister made these adorable "ugly sweater" ornaments for a craft! My niece helped cut out the pattern, and her boyfriend designed mini hangers for them!
My sister had lots of beads, sequins, and craft supplies to decorate the ugly sweater ornaments.
Grandma working on her ornament.
Elli and Brady teamed up for a guitars and music notes Christmas tree sweater.
They turned out so cute! My sister even made the tree skirt and candle cozies out of sweaters!
Then we had our Christmas gift exchange game! Elli got an "ugly sweater" pen and pad of paper to keep with our theme. She also got a journal, emoji stickers, and the UNO emoji card game.
The gift exchange game involves "stealing" gifts. My nephew looks pretty happy about stealing this blanket from Grandma! Haha!
When Grandma opened her new gift, it was another super soft pretty blanket!
Kaitlyn's gift was a pumpkin scented candle and cozy cabin socks.
My niece had a surprise gift for everyone and had made each of us a microwave rice bag! We have enjoyed warming them up to put on the back of our neck or lower back, and also under the blankets to keep our toesies warm! Elli likes to put hers on her tummy every night. We LOVE them!!
Elli looked so cute in her reindeer shirt that she had made last year with her footprint and handprints. We accessorized with a Christmas light-up necklace and reindeer antlers!
Kaitlyn made a fabulous Christmas tree sweater! It was complete with greenery, ornaments, lights, and a star. She also wore a tree skirt and had gifts on her shoes! :D
The tree could also look like a wreath! She won the "Most Festive" Ugly Christmas sweater award!
My niece's cute sweater won the "Best DIY" Ugly Christmas sweater award!
Jeff won the "Ugliest" Christmas sweater award with his Star Trek sweatshirt. Haha!
We went to town to do a little shopping and had some barbecue for supper.
We also found Santa!
We have a tradition on Dec. 23rd to drive around and look at Christmas lights. We got some warm drinks at Starbucks and our traditional McDonald's french fries, and then we drove through the Trail of Lights!
The Trail of Lights is a 2 1/2 mile drive-thru animation display with holiday music.
Later that evening, we showed my niece how to finger knit. She made a little cozy for some peppermint hot cocoa that we had the next morning!
We had a lot of fun in Branson! <3
