On the fifth day of our vacation, we had lunch in Vail, and then drove to Estes Park to check in to our cabin.

On the fourth day of our vacation, we went to Maroon Bells, Aspen - one of the most photographed spots in the US...and it was a whiteout!  :(

On the third day of our vacation, we went to Royal Gorge, rode the Royal Gorge Route Railroad, and had crêpes (and snow!) in Breckenridge.

Colorado Vacation 2019 ~ Days 1 & 2

On the first day of our Colorado vacation this summer, we went to Seven Falls in Colorado Springs.

On the second day, we went to Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak.

Balanced Rock.

The Pikes Peak Cog Railway was under renovation, so we drove up the first 13 miles, then a shuttle took us up the last 3 miles. The road was pretty scary near the top, but Jeff did a great job driving up and down!

Pikes Peak elevation is 14,115 feet. The air was really thin, and it was very cold!

"Pillow Pass"
