1,615 Days

As of today, we have had our sweet Elliana for the same number of days that we waited for her!  <3

The 1,615 days of waiting seemed much longer.

The Logic Board has Failed...

The Mac tech specialist who was looking at my laptop called yesterday and said that the logic board has failed...  :(

But the good news is he thinks all the data should be okay!  The tech said my computer was too old to buy new parts for and also a new logic board could cost more than a new computer anyway!

Jeff was already thinking it was time to upgrade my computer, so we are going shopping this weekend for a new laptop for an early Christmas present!  :)

Then we will hope that a data transfer will be successful.

Stay tuned...

"White Screen of Death"...

My Mac laptop experienced the "white screen of death" last night. :(  I took it to a Mac tech specialist today who will go through some diagnostic testing (hopefully this week!) to see if we can save any data.

Even though I've been transferring pictures to an external drive, I have a lot of pictures on my computer.  I showed him a cute pic of Elli on my phone. ;) He assured me they would do their best to save my pictures.

Good news is that I have a lot of pictures still on my phone and camera!  And more good news is I am doing this post from our iPad!

Stay tuned...

Here are pictures from the Pride Band's last performance of their 2015 field show about the nightmares of Sleeping Beauty titled, "The Curse of Beauty", and Brady's last Senior performance with the marching band.  They placed 4th in the Finals!  We are so proud of Brady's high school marching band career.  We are going to miss this...  :'(

At halftime, the Senior band members presented their personalized arm band to an underclassman to "carry on" the traditions.  Brady (1st chair tenor drummer) gave his arm band to the 2nd chair tenor drummer!

The Senior band parents were also recognized and the moms were presented a carnation.  <3

Kitchen Cutie!

How cute is Elli helping me in the kitchen wearing a red-checkered basket liner for a hat and her little matching oven mitt?

Cutting up cheese to go with our chili!

Elli's Photo Shoot

Kaitlyn took photos of Elli for a college photography project.  The theme for the project was "ripple effect".  Here are a couple of the photos she took!

Elli was a perfect little model and was so happy to help Kaitlyn with her project!

After the photo shoot, Kaitlyn let Elli take a few photos of her!  :)

Pirate Treasure Hunt!

Pictures taken Oct. 11 ~

We had a little pirate treasure hunt to look for an afternoon snack!

Elli wanted to make her own pirate eye patch with construction paper and used green paper to look like grass for the "X" that marks the spot!

We hid it a few times.

Here's a throwback to 1999 when Kaitlyn and Brady did a pirate treasure for an afternoon snack! :)  The "X" and pirate eye patches were made with black felt and scrap material.

Pride & Traditions Band Take 1st in Class!

Pictures taken Oct. 10 ~
The Pride Band took 1st in their class for Indoor Drumline, Indoor Color Guard, Field Auxiliary, and Field Show!  The Traditions Band also took 1st in Street Performance during the parade that morning.

The Indoor Drumline show was so cool!  Their rock-themed show was titled "Mash Pit".  Brady is playing tenor drums (back, second from left) and is dressed up as Starchild from KISS.  Haha!
